About The Event

Is resilience missing in Canada's community building practices? How do we nudge building practices to respond effectively to complex, dynamic risk for manifesting regenerative urban environments?


Join Connecting Environmental Professionals Calgary for our upcoming event on how we build resilience, sustainability, and climate adaptation into our built environment. The event will start with an overview of how sustainable building design best practices are not always in alignment with climate resilient building approaches. We will then look at case studies of municipalities and buildings to examine the benefits and tradeoffs of incorporating risk management and emergency management in design. Experts Susan Kapetanovic-Marr (JLL) and Kerrie Green (Body Collab) will join us in this discussion, with lots of time for networking and merriment!
